When it comes to designing the look of your wedding, somehow it always seems like it falls to the tablescape to pull together your concepts. Gathered on one table it holds the flowers, colors, food, and décor items that you want all in one space, so it seems fitting that just this one element can be almost the most important design part to your wedding. No pressure!
Essence of Events has pulled together a few of our favorite tabletops to help you gather a few ideas of the possibilities that are out there for your upcoming day. From classic to modern, bold to chic; we have all of your style bases covered.

We love the fact that this table setting is kept very simple, but notice the amount of candle votives, both hanging from the branches of the centerpieces, and around their bases. When the light fades the room will change entirely.

This arrangement is beautiful and classic; from the flower choice to the vase, chairs, and linens but unexpected twists were added with the hanging candles, mirrored chargers, and fun napkin fold.

The sprigs of spring blooms add a great texture to this arrangement fixed onto a gilded platform for a striking edge.

The way the flowers twist around the stem of this chandelier arrangement make an unexpected statement.

Fresh blooms at each place setting, like these peonies, brighten up a table and can sometimes replace a centerpiece.

A bright table like this will bring a modern flare to your event.

Consider using bold goblets and textured linens to bring your color scheme to life and to add new elements to your table.

Low centerpieces of various shades and florals are hugely popular right now. Try using an ombre theme with your flowers too for added drama.

A simple and chic table using neutrals proves that sometimes basic is better.

Use a mirrored runner and crystals to bring a new dimension to your table with this popular trend.

This is one of the most extravagant and flamboyant tablescapes we have seen, and we just had to share it with you!

Beautiful floral arches and centerpieces with hanging candles add a romantic feeling to this wedding.

Simple white is always a great option, but add personality to your table with not so simple chargers.

The Chinese vases and fresh take on spring buds in bloom displayed are a wonderful addition to an otherwise plain table.

Consider having your floral arrangement be multi-tiered for a modern and fresh take on your centerpiece.

Such a beautiful, gold-dusted wedding.

When it comes to selecting wedding stationary, often one of the most important elements is overlooked, and that is your thank you cards. That is because these notes are sent after your wedding so brides and grooms often forget to order them entirely and it is not until after they return from their honeymoon that they forget to send thoughtful “thank you’s” for all of the gifts that they receive, and for the guests that traveled far and wide to attend their special day.
Don’t be the couple sending belated notes of appreciation! Essence of Events has a few of our favorite styles of thank you notes already picked out for your perusal (because they are our favorite kind of stationary not only to give, but to receive as well!).
Take a look at these styles, from the bold and contemporary, to the classic and chic. There is bound to be something here you love and something that’s going to make you not forget to send this important piece of stationary!

Try a statement photograph like this. Write on a favorite book, mirror, piece of art, or something else you can hold together.

Use a signature image from your wedding and have your photographer add wording over the top.

Banners are a popular and trendy option right now.

Surprise your guests and let them know how much you appreciate them being at your wedding by leaving them a note at their place settings.

Involve your wedding party in the fun!

Parasols are a great way of snapping a photo with a big “thank you” but try an umbrella if it is a rainy wedding to poke fun at the day.

Different camera affects are perfect for capturing the meaning of the photo (bunny ears aren’t a priority though!)

Back in the day, cake toppers consisted of a bride and groom atop a cake, looking stagnant with she in her standard white gown, and he in the classic black suit. For a little while there, the decoration all but disappeared, but now this garnish has made a wonderfully artistic and delightful comeback.
Gone are the days are standard one-size-fits-all toppers, these additions to your cakes will add flare and panache to your confection. Quirky, unique, and often custom to you as a couple; Essence of Events absolutely as a few of our favorites. Take a peek at what we’re oodle-ing at today and see what inspires you and what could add to your already delectable cake!

A take on the classic banner; why not try a candy necklace for a DIY and fun approach?

These cute birds are a fun way to add humor to your cake.

Keep these critters long after you slice the cake as a keepsake. Have your cake designer make the toppers in your favorite animals and try “his and hers” favorites for an even more personal touch.

Though not technically a topper, an oversized flower adorning your cake adds fun to an otherwise plain cake.

Sayings, quotes, and idioms topping your layers are great DIY projects too if you just want to cut out card, dip in glitter, and attach to poles.

Try adding your initials to your cake.

Banners are wonderful and on-trend right now.

This topper made from twigs has a rustic-chic vibe.

Hand-stitched hearts add a quirky element to a cake.

Bent metal is popular for toppers, as well as in other areas of wedding décor too.

Though not a cake, the topper is adorable, with bespoke characters, including the couple’s dog.

Theme Thursday: Medical Theme

Essence of Events would like to bring you a theme that is so unique, it's sure make your heart skip a beat. When these two doctors met, they showed all the symptoms for a love that was sure to last. When they decided that it was time to tie the knot, incorporating a medical theme into their wedding was nothing foreign to them. Their bright wedding was a gorgeous affair and the results definitely tested positive!

Idioms like this were scattered throughout the entire event.

As guests entered the ceremony they passed through the “Waiting Room.”

Guests were directed to check in and leave their prescription for a good marriage at the receptionist’s desk. Colorful clipboards adorned the office wall while displaying guest names and what room they were to be seen in (AKA table assignments) for later that evening.

The bride’s favorite animal is an elephant, and the cross representing the medical field was carried throughout the wedding in various elements including the table numbers.

The guests received candy pill bottle favors that read “There is no remedy to love, but to love more,” by Henry David Thoreau that are placed on each table setting.

Each candle votive is wrapped in white gauze, thus adding to the medical theme.

There were many sweet options at this wedding to choose from, perhaps a dentist would be more helpful than a doctor?!

Delicious cupcakes with quirky names is always a great way to blend a theme, feed guests, and offer a variety of dessert options.

The dessert bar at this wedding is fantastic!

When you have a color scheme, don’t be afraid to go bold, and try different linens on each table with a new pattern, texture, and shade. Mix it up and be fearless!
