Today Essence of Events, LLC wants to take a moment to gather all of the photographs and snapshots we have collected of all of the “Elegant Elements” that go into a wedding. Of course there are the basics that you could strip a wedding down to; the ceremony (walking down the aisle, vows, and I-do’s), the reception (eating, toasts, dancing). But what about the details that truly go into making a wedding a glamorous affair?
These small details at your wedding make a big difference and why people will remember your day long after they leave the reception. Trust us; you’re going to want to know about these extra little things that will add lots of extras to your day.

The bathrooms were decorated to look like English phone booths, always adding entertainment for guests no matter where they went!

Motion sensitive flowers on the floor bloom as guests walk over them. Small lighting details such as this make a huge impact!

Consider providing transportation for guests if they are traveling between ceremony and reception. If it is a destination wedding, try to make it themed toward the location (like a Trolley if you are in San Francisco).

Use tiny potted plants to mark each guest's place, and then send them home as favors at the end of the night.

A wedding painter at your wedding to capture the live moments of the event is a popular option right now.

Surprise your guests with fireworks at the end of the night, it will sure to be a wedding they will never forget!

Champagne towers are the most elegant moment of any wedding or event.

We love unique and interactive photobooths such as this.

Display your escort cards beautifully in a way your guests are sure not to forget soon.

Having a box in the bathroom with items for your guests, including mouthwash, aspirin, and other essentials, will let your guests know that their comfort is on your mind.

Provide dancing shoes for your guests. These shoes are comfy, classy, classic, and fun!

From our personal opinion; the best item to toss at a wedding!

Decorate boring water features and leave no stone unturned in order to create the most glamorous wedding.

Strong stems make Calla lilies ideal for modern, architectural arrangements.

Help make guests part of a fun, interactive send of, like this one involving sparklers.

Guests being serenated by musicians, why not? This screams elegance!

Monograms are so popular in weddings nowadays. We are starting to see them everywhere. In today’s blog Essence of Events, LLC is featuring favorite places we see couple’s using monograms, whether it is their individual initials or their combination as a couple.
Adding a monogram to your wedding décor is a classic way to personalize pretty much anything. Traditionally, the couple will create their own new monogram to use in their wedding materials, and then continue to use the monogram on stationery for years to come.
Take a peek at some of these special concepts to garner inspiration for your upcoming celebration.

Perfect for a beach wedding; add your monogram to the sand for a unique and unexpected twist!

Adding your initials to your cake is always a lovely classic.

Love the idea of keeping your groom close to you by embellishing your veil or a piece of your dress.

Bride and groom chair flourishes are popular these days. This couple went above and beyond by stitching into the fabric.

These sweet treats look too yummy!

Add your monogram to a sticker for an easy way to add personalization to your day, including customizing plain favor boxes like these.

The ever-classic menu card gets a twist with the accompaniment of a monogram.

The first impression is always key, so make sure to stun your guests by adding your signature to the stamp for save the dates, invitations, RSVPs, Thank You’s, and other wedding related stationary to keep your theme going. Order extra stamps with your monogram so you can continue using them long into your married life.

Lovely entrance to the church.

One of the most popular monograms we see used is with this lighting effect; on the dance floor, walls, and across the ceiling.

Add a flourish to an otherwise boring water feature such as a pool or pond by adding a floral element.

Frost-less Wedding Cakes - Friday: Food/Beverages/Cakes/Desserts

If you’re like us at Essence of Events, LLC, you love cake! Every yummy, scrumpcious, delicious piece of the sweet confection, but actually if you’re like us, there is a downside of cake too, and that is the frosting. Especially if it isn’t made with proper butter and cake get into a sticky conglomerate of nasty ick.
Hence, my friends, the latest and greatest trend in wedding food and luxury cake and taste making; the frostless wedding cake! It isn’t as dull as it sounds. These cakes have a certain rustic and bohemian appeal to them. Stripping down to the basic layers, but still including a touch of icing to add a bit of texture and flavor; it’s almost the perfect cake!

Showcasing the confetti layers inside the cake; this is a perfect example of why having a frostless wedding cake will display why it’s what is on the inside that counts!

Most guests end up scraping off the frosting anyway, why not save them the hassle and just present them with a stunning cake like this?

You can still get the design you want and the anti-icing you desire when you combine elements like these together.

Many couples will choose to soak their layers of sponge in a liquor to add another flavor to their cake and use cream instead of frosting. Just another option to consider when choosing and tasting all the delicious options out there.

Thick sponge layers with Nutella or chocolate spread in between is yet another possibility.

The design options are endless with cakes like these, just like regular cakes, only perhaps better!

Theme Thursday Presents: Watercolor

Essence of Events, LLC chose today’s theme because it was such a fun inspiration for this artistic couple. The groom, art history professor, and the bride, and artist, were both inspired by the abstract expressionist painter, Jackson Pollock, to create this watercolor masterpiece of a wedding.
Wishing to re-create their favorite artworks on their special day their muse was watercolor (as seen in the paper details and cake) and of course their favorite artist Mr. Pollock (in the walls and macaroons). To see their theme come to life, check out their photos below.

The abstract tablescape and panels lining the room add to the artistic flare.

Each table was labeled with an artist’s name, instead of a table number.

The escort card and guest favor was a mini pallet and paint set!

The dining table details include a DIY hand painted canvas backdrop, DIY hand painted paper color wheel charger, paint can centerpieces, paint palette appetizer plates, a watercolor painted menu, and painted utensils.

The menu card looks like a color sample.

Even the blown-glass vases have an abstract feel to them with the multicolored flecks thrown in.

The sign-in table includes a canvas to paint for the bride and groom.

The programs have a painter’s wheel feel to them.

Love the watercolor painted cake, the Pollock inspired macaroons, and mini cupcakes, along with the hand painted dessert menu.
