Music plays such an important role in any type of event. Whether you are planning a wedding, dinner party, fundraiser or corporate party, music helps you set the tone and mood you desire for your event . It can help relax you guests or get them moving on the dance floor.
This week we would like to feature a local artist and band on this week’s Music Monday blog. We think The Ethan Tucker Band based out of Olympia Washington would be the perfect addition to any occasion.

Ethan seamlessly combines reggae, jazz and blues to create an amazing musical experience for anyone listening. His music pulls you in and holds your attention, no matter what your music preference may usually be. We have seen him perform a number of times now, both with his band and solo, either way you will never be disappointed. His talent and stage presence are phenomenal.
If you want to listen and enjoy his music for yourself, check him out on ReverbNation and iTunes. You can also look him up on Facebook and Myspace.
We strongly recommend you take a little time and listen to his last album entitled “Lost Between” and watch for his soon to be released new album “Misunderstood”. The first album will instantly make you a fan, and from what we’ve heard off of the new album, you will be more and more impressed with each new song!

Thinking about planning a party or large event? Are you going to have it catered?
If so we want to help you through the process to assure you find just the right caterer for you and your event.
You've picked a date, set a budget and even chosen a venue already, so what's next? Hiring a caterer, and choosing the style of catering and food presentation you want at your event. There are 4 main styles to consider, seated, buffet, station, and cocktail service. This is one aspect where your budget will factor into this decision, because each have a different cost due to the staff required for each.
So how do you go about choosing a caterer, how do you know who do you hire? Here are 5 tips to consider.
5 Tips to Remember
- Get referrals. Ask your family, friends, and coworkers, for names of recommended caterers.
- What does each caterer include in their bid. Does the caterer design centerpieces and, if so, does he offer choices? Do they provide the china, silverware, and glasses? Are gratuities included in the total price? What are overtime costs?
- Get everything discussed and agreed upon in writing. Make sure everything you need or want done is described in detail in the catering contract and given a price.
- Sample time. Once your list of potential caterers is narrowed down, have each of them prepare two or three different dishes from their menu to taste test before you make a decision.
- Make sure you stick to your budget. Don't pay for unnecessary services.
We hope this is helpful to you!
