Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Children of all ages! Step right up and take a gander at this week’s: Theme Thursday! A spectacular show of a big top love affair and lots of clowning around helped to make this Circus Showdown a night to remember.
The couple who were married under the big top in front of friends and family wanted their wedding to embody everything they love to celebrate; good food, good music, and good fun!
The vintage circus theme came about with handmade and antiqued details, which helped to bring the day to life. Scroll through the photos below to see more, and enjoy some of life’s happiest moments; weddings and circus, bundled into one!

The custom designed letterpress invitations had a perforated ticket for the guests to bring for admission.

When they arrived, guests picked up their popcorn-box programs, so they could snack while they watched the bride and groom say their vows.

Coca Cola was served in glass bottles, which added to the nostalgic and fun feel of the day.

The couple said their vows under a handmade fabric and paper backdrop, and were pronounced husband and wife by a ringmaster.

Guests sat and enjoyed their food and beverages at tables sporting vintage and handmade circus-themed centerpieces.

The guests even got into the theme, right down to the littlest ones. This adorable flower girl is rocking a mustache pacifier, if you care to do a double-take.

Even though on Wednesday’s we usually feature a wedding, for the next few weeks we are going to take this opportunity to feature some of the recent shows we have been a part of and the fabulous vendors we get the chance to work with.
At Essence of Events, LLC we love our vendors, especially our rental décor partners. They provide us with all of the items that make events beautiful and stunning. It is an absolute blast to choose which products to use, but also overwhelming, because there are so many to choose from.
In January Essence of Events participated in an event, and with the help of AA Party Rentals, our booth was crisp, fresh, and breathtaking. As it should be, after all, we chose a mint color pallet!
Take a look at these photos from the event, and see the quality products AA Party Rentals provided, and the styling by Essence of Events, to see a sample of how your upcoming wedding or event could potentially look.

Our Wedding Planners at Essence of Events used a variety of décor techniques to make the table runner pop when styling this tablescape. The combination of mirrored runners, high-low height centerpieces, floating candles in pillared vases of different heights, combined with regular candles makes this table unique and different. The rhinestone elements are obvious throughout; from the napkin rings, to the pillared vases.

The typography on the menu is all in the details for the Wedding Planners at Essence of Events. We love add special touches throughout each event, including the continuation of the rhinestones.

A detailed shot of the centerpieces on the table. Essence of Events, LLC also provides floral and décor arrangements for any event. Rest assured that with some of nature’s beauty, and our Event Planners professional abilities, Essence of Events, LLC will add ambiance requested to your wedding, party, or event.

The favors Essence of Events supplied for each guest were mints, with the bespoke tag reading “Mint to Be.” We believe it is all in the details, even down to the smallest touches. That is why we take great care to make sure your event is what you envision it to be, and it’s completely “you.”

The chavari chairs are elegant enough, but with some décor and design touches, they are transformed to fit the theme flawlessly.

Instead of just having plain pipe-and-draping, the Wedding Planners at Essence of events wanted to add a few extra touches to tie the whole space together.
For this event, AA Party Rentals provided the draping, vases, tables, chairs, glassware, silverware, and plates, which transformed a plain space into someone’s potential wedding table. However AA Party Rentals can provide you with so much more than those items for your upcoming event. They have been in the business for over 40 years, and their inventory has thousands of on-trend products to choose from.
Essence of Events works with many vendors to make every wedding and event a success. We are not only an events planning company, but are also available for vendor coordination and referral services. Tips for Being the Coolest Bride Ever - Trend Tuesday

A big trend right now is for brides to be big, huge, I’m talking monster bridezilla’s, so today I’m playing a bait-and-switch on you. Surprise! Its opposite day! Instead of it being Trend Tuesday, today’s blog post is Un-Trend Tuesday.
Ladies, when did it become cool to invite your closest friends, sisters, and relatives to be part of your bridal party on your big day, only to boss them around? In my book, never! These girls want to make your journey as enjoyable and un-stressful as possible, so please provide them the same sort of luxury leading up to your wedding.
They are there for you on this (crazy) ride, and you’ll all have a better time if you’re happy and relaxed. That being said, just follow these simple rules and you will be well on your way to becoming the coolest bride ever! So you may not have a reality TV show, but at least you’ll be keeping your friends and family…

Give them color swatches to choose from, and then let them pick their own bridesmaid dresses. That way they’ll have something they love and that’s flattering, and you’ll have them looking just the way you pictured!

And if you don’t like their choices? Chances are they kept the receipt, just in case. But seriously, how cute are these mismatched bridesmaids? You know you’re into it.

If you want them to wear heels, take care of their feet. They’ll put up for it for you, but your girls will be a little sad if they end the night with blisters or twisted ankles! Please don’t make them wobble-walk on grass; think about investing in heel-stoppers.

Everyone wants to dance the night away, but they don’t want to brave the floor in bare feet. Provide comfy shoes and you’ll be everyone’s Cinderella!

Your girls want to celebrate with you on the big day. It shouldn’t just be you that’s getting pampered. Make sure that you’re providing food and drink the morning-of.

Your bridal party loves helping you out, but it doesn’t mean that they also don’t love being showered with presents as “Thank You’s!” Remember what they’re doing to assist you may be coming at a cost to them. If your ladies are into partying and celebrating, it would be good to have something in a kit for the next day, especially after the bachelorette or wedding night.

Personalized pressies are always sweet; it’s a special way to remember being a part of your wedding!

Offer to pay for your bridal party’s hair or makeup services, especially if you expect them to rock crazy-complicated hair dos.

If your bridal party members are all unfamiliar, introduce all the bridesmaids beforehand so they have time to be friends. Fun outings, lunch, or nights out are a great way to get them together before the big day.

Let your girls know about creepy groomsmen, or cuties if any are single. Hey, you’d expect the same courtesy if the tables were turned!

Don’t make any of your bridesmaids compete for your attention. Things can get awkward fast if things start to turn into a competition if people are constantly vying for your time.

Remember that your ladies are happy to help out with most things; DIY projects, picking up dresses, and mailing invites. All these things are to be expected. But don’t resent your BFF’s if you ask them last minute and they can’t make it.
Remember that your ladies are always there for you, and are happy to help when you ask. This is a huge day for them too!

Often times when people think of hiring some form of entertainment, whether it is a harpist, acrobatics, band, quartet, or a DJ, they forget to add the ambiance of lighting and sound effects. The idea of entertainment really is the whole point of hiring these entertainers. Why not add the ambiance you’re looking for? You can get the romantic candle lit feeling with different kinds of LED uplighting in a red or pink tone.
For a personalized look, try out a custom monogram to be on display during your reception. For a disco feel you could go for the dance floor lighting. Perhaps you like the bump-and-groove of a night at the club type you will want to think about incorporating the newest trend of universal lighting that actually creates shapes around the room and can be programed to go to the beat of you and your guest’s favorite songs.
