Chess and Floral - Theme Thursday

Posted on June 6, 2013 at 9:25 AM

Checkmate! For this fun Theme Thursday, bridal fashion is taking a completely modern, bold, and unexpected turn with this stunning and unique wedding concept. Blending two bold ideas; checker patterns and bright, artistic flowers, we just love the artistic concepts behind this event.

The checker board, chess, and daring designs are perfectly represented in these photos. The bride chose to forego the typical white wedding gown instead opting for a pop of red in this fun cocktail dress. The color makes her stand out and goes perfectly with her modern and cool event.

The invitations with a boarder of checker print design and pops of color and floral motives that appear sporadically. I love that even the insides of the envelopes have received attention to detail with the signature print and pattern.

The colorful bouquet of poppies and wildflowers. I just adore the sequin ribbon, and of course the bride’s flowers would have to be to die for, since that plays into the design and theme of the event.

Mr. and Mrs. on their special day. Such a fun-loving couple to have selected such a unique theme for their big day.

The sweetheart table is definitely not in short supply of flowers, checkers, or original ideas.

This tablescape is exceptionally on-trend, with the usage of vintage vases and tableware, the black linens and chairs, and then of course the blending of their theme perfectly.

This theme is flawlessly carried out, from beginning to end, with each detail accounted for. No table, décor piece, or stationary item is left untouched from this marvelous, original, and one-of-a-kind idea.
